Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

What level of French is required to participate in your activities?

Our activities are designed for people with little to no background in French or those who have never studied French in school.

What’s the weather like?

Martinique, located in the Caribbean, has a tropical climate with warm temperatures and high humidity year-round. It has two main seasons:

Dry Season (December to May)

Known as the “Carême” season.

Temperature: Averages 25–28°C (77–82°F), with cooler evenings.

Weather: Sunny, dry, and breezy, with little rain. This is the most popular time for visitors.

Humidity: Lower, making the heat more comfortable.

Best Activities: Beach outings, hiking, and outdoor exploration.

Rainy Season (June to November)

Known as the “Hivernage” season.

Temperature: Averages 27–30°C (81–86°F), with warmer nights.

Weather: Hot and humid, with frequent rain showers and occasional tropical storms or hurricanes (August to October being the peak storm season).

Humidity: High, making the air feel warmer.

Best Activities: Waterfalls, lush nature walks, and cultural experiences indoors during heavier rains.

Despite the distinction between seasons, the island generally enjoys plenty of sunshine year-round, and rain showers are often brief.
